Home spreads Christmas cheer for residents

RESIDENTS of Rogers House Residential Care Home in Wigmore have been getting into the spirit of Christmas, enjoying a host of festive activities.

The halls are decked and the trees are trimmed, Christmas has well and truly arrived at Rogers House, which means it’s time for the yuletide fun to begin.

With the countdown to Christmas on, residents have been getting into the swing of the season, with plenty of activities on offer, from Christmas crafts to cooking.

They kick-started the activities by making some handmade decorations, including nostalgic paper chains and snow angels, which they’ll hang around the home.

Next, the residents were invited to get involved with a seasonal spectacle, as the cast of a panto put on a live show, in the comfort of their dining room, oh yes they did!

Interim home manager Kerry Leverton said: “We’ve had lots of Christmas activities going on in the last couple of weeks and there is a lot more festive fun to come, including our festive special coffee morning, Christmas Jumper Day, carol singing and our residents’ annual Christmas party.”
