A SOLIHULL care home has sponsored a not-for-profit social enterprise to help change the narrative about menopause and empower women going through the often challenging time of their lives.
Blossomfield Rose has sponsored Menopause Knowledge CIC to raise awareness of menopausal wellbeing with a positive twist.
The collaboration will see the home host a ‘menopause and wellbeing fayre’ on Saturday, showcasing the variety of ways people can embrace menopause holistically.
Lorraine Shannon, customer relationship manager at Macc Care, said: “Blossomfield Rose is delighted to host this event and support Menopause Knowledge in raising the profile of menopause in women — learning more about what happens to a woman at that stage in her life, as well as how we can further support them.”
The event will take place between 10am and 3pm, with guest speakers set to address topics including:
• Tai chi and Qigong.
• Menopause and cardio-vascular health research.
• Hormone replacement therapy.
• Cognitive behaviour therapy.
• ADHD and neurodiversity in menopause.
• The power of energy healing.
There will also be a range of wellbeing practitioners and stands with experts on hand from the worlds of reflexology and reiki, to crystal healing and nutrition, and more. Following this, a ‘menopause café’ will run from 3pm to 4pm.
