Community comes together at care home

MUIRTON House Care Home in Blairgowrie welcomed the local community for a fun-filled day, complete with pipers, a performance by the Linda Tosh Dance School and children’s activities.

Residents of Blairgowrie and the surrounding areas joined Councillor Xander McDade, the Perth and Kinross Provost, staff and residents for a day filled with vibrant activities, traditional Scottish performances and family fun.

Home manager Sandra Reilly said: “We were delighted to open our doors and gardens to the Blairgowrie community and would like to thank the Provost for taking the time to visit, along with many local people.

“It was fantastic to see the community enjoying spending time together, making this a memorable day for our neighbours, residents and their families.”

For children, the day was full of engaging activities designed to entertain and inspire including a petting corner with rabbits, reptiles and a tortoise, and some vibrant face painting.

In addition, the care home’s gardens played host to various market stalls, offering everything from local crafts to homemade cakes and candy – perfect for those with a sweet tooth.
