THE White House in Teignmouth, part of the Centrum Care Group, celebrated the retirement of Yvonne Jenne, a team member who has served the home with distinction for 24 years.
At the age of 66 she has decided to hang up her uniform and embark on a new chapter of relaxation and discovery.
Yvonne has been an integral part of the team, working as both a health care assistant and a housekeeper. She said: “I have loved working at The White House because it has always felt comfortable and welcoming. I enjoy spending time with the residents, chatting with them, and helping them in any way I can.
“I will miss working with all my colleagues and the lovely residents. It’s the people that made every day special.”
In her free time Yvonne will indulge in her hobbies of bird stamp collecting, collecting teaspoons from different places, and creating tapestry cushions.
Registered Manager Tracie Bowen added: “Yvonne has been a cornerstone of our home. Her dedication, kindness and cheerful spirit have touched the lives of so many.
“She is a true legend, and while we are happy for her as she embarks on this new journey, we will certainly miss her dearly. Yvonne’s legacy of care and compassion will always be a part of The White House.”
