Group opens first care home in Warwickshire

THE latest Danforth care home was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Deputy Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Bhim Saru.

Holly Grange House has been purpose-built by LNT Care Developments and contains 66 rooms with en-suites, complete with flat screen TVs, mini fridges and a wet room.

The complex includes an onsite beauty salon, café, library and cinema. Residents who live there will receive 24-hour specialist care as well as a personalised activity programme tailored to their interests and needs.

All available for a single all-inclusive fee, residents will also receive restaurant-quality food cooked by the on-site chef team every day.

Home manager Helen Bundell said: “I am so excited to be leading Holly Grange House. It is a wonderful opportunity for all of the team to provide excellent care in an amazing environment.

“It’s great to be opening the doors officially, and welcoming in the community whom we will be a part of.”

Mirroring the other care homes built for Danforth Care Group, Holly Grange House boasts an energy rating of A, with 80 per cent of the roof covered in solar panels, and operating completely without gas.

Any electricity not needed will be sold back to the grid. In addition, the home has an underground system running miles into the ground, providing geothermal energy which is used for underfloor heating, hot water and air conditioning for the comfort of the residents.
