THE festive season started in style at Bullsmoor Lodge when Mayor of Enfield, Councillor Mohammad Islam, officially switched on the care home’s Christmas lights.
The celebrations included residents, staff, family, friends and guests, with everyone enjoying festive refreshments, including hot chocolate, mulled wine, mince pies and toasted marshmallows.
Thompsons of Crews Hill donated two Christmas trees for the front of Bullsmoor Lodge, while B&L Coaches contributed towards the lights display.
Guests were treated to a heartwarming performance of carols and a Christmas poem by students from Abbey Performing Arts theatre school, and local entertainer Heidi McCaffery also performed, filling the evening with music and cheer.
Manager Lisa Coombs said: “It was a wonderful evening, shared with family and friends. We’re so thankful to the Mayor of Enfield for helping us mark the start of the festive season by officially turning on our lights.
“This is such a special time to be with loved ones, and I’m incredibly proud of the effort everyone put in to make the event a success.”
