Planning permission granted for operator’s second home

PLANNING permission has been granted for Vivant Care’s second care home, to be built in Carbis Bay, Cornwall.

Headlands will offer 60 generously sized, en-suite bedrooms and suites where care is delivered with warmth and attention to individual needs.

The new development builds on the momentum of Bayards Courts – Vivant Care’s first home, due to open in Dartmouth in spring 2026 – and brings the operator’s distinctive approach to care to a new community.

Chief operating officer Sarah Clarke-Kuehn said: “This marks an exciting step forward for Vivant Care. Our vision is to create places where people can continue to enjoy meaningful moments, feel connected, and live each day with purpose and joy. Headlands will reflect that vision in every detail.”

Plans include communal spaces, landscaped gardens overlooking the bay, and interiors that promote comfort and independence. Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with further details to be shared in due course.

Vivant Care is part of the Sanctuary Care family, who have been delivering care for more than 25 years.
