Residents enjoy close encounter with majestic owls

RESIDENTS at Wren House care home in Warminster were treated to a memorable experience as Sharandy’s Birds of Prey from Bridport paid a flying visit, bringing along some of their owls for an interactive session.

The visit gave residents the rare opportunity to learn more about the birds, their habits, and their conservation, and for some the highlight was getting to hold and handle a couple of the owls themselves.

The room was filled with smiles, fascination, and gentle feathered friends as handlers introduced each bird and shared stories about their backgrounds.

Tracey Atkins, home manager at Wren House, said: “All the residents loved seeing the owls. Experiences like this bring so much joy and stimulation and you could see everyone light up the moment the birds arrived.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Sharandy’s Birds of Prey for giving our residents such a magical and meaningful encounter.”
