RESIDENTS from Millway House care home celebrated their final community trip of 2025 with a special visit to the University of Winchester, where they joined voices with the much-loved Memory Choir for a festive and uplifting singing session.
The Memory Choir is a socially responsible organisation that aims to enhance the wellbeing of people living with dementia through group singing.
They visit Millway House each month to offer structured sessions designed to stimulate memory, encourage connection, and support overall wellbeing.
These visits have become a much-loved activity for residents, many of whom eagerly look forward to the sense of joy and togetherness that group singing brings.
This final trip of the year provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to visit the beautiful city of Winchester, meet the choir, enjoy familiar songs, and share in the spirit of music and community.
Sarah Holland, activities manager at Millway House, said: “We’re so grateful for our continued partnership with The Memory Choir. Their monthly visits bring so much joy to our residents, and this special end-of-year outing was a meaningful way to celebrate the positive impact of music on memory and wellbeing and look back at the year gone by.”
The team at Millway House extends their thanks to The Memory Choir and the University of Winchester for welcoming residents so warmly and helping create a memorable finale to 2025.
