Residents step into Wonderland at tea party

RESIDENTS at HC-One’s Capwell Grange in Luton enjoyed an Alice in Wonderland–themed tea party complete with karaoke singing.

The care home was transformed for the occasion, with residents and colleagues embracing the playful theme as they gathered together to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea inspired by Lewis Carroll’s much-loved story.

From themed decorations to sweet treats, the event created a joyful and immersive experience for everyone involved.

Senior home manager Nicola Berry said: “It was wonderful to see how much our residents enjoyed stepping into Wonderland for the afternoon. The singing, laughter and smiles made it a really special event, and everyone had a fantastic time.”

The highlight of the afternoon was a lively karaoke session, where residents sang along to favourite songs, filling the home with laughter, music and smiles. The event encouraged residents to socialise, reminisce and express themselves through music, supporting wellbeing and creating lasting memories.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed the celebration, with many commenting on how much fun they had and how lovely it was to take part in something a little different.
