Operator redefines workwear through team-led consultation

HALLMARK Luxury Care Homes has unveiled a new uniform for its entire workforce, designed in direct consultation with its team members.

The bespoke uniform, specifically designed and developed for Hallmark by PCL Corporate Wear, is the result of more than a year of collaboration with more than 1,300 team members.

The process brought together insight from teams across the business to create a suite of garments carefully designed and manufactured to meet the realities of working in a care home environment.

The £550,000 uniform investment reinforces the organisation’s commitment to its people, recognising them as the foundation of exceptional care.

Nye Brown, CEO of Hallmark Luxury Care Homes, said:  “Our teams are the fabric of our organisation. They bring skill, compassion and dedication to their roles every single day, and they deserve a uniform that works as hard as they do.

“This wasn’t about imposing a design, it was about listening, learning and creating something together that genuinely supports our people in their daily roles.”

Designed through structured consultation, feedback sessions and a series of wearer trials, the uniform has been shaped by team members across the business to ensure it supports the physical, practical and emotional demands of long shifts and close-contact care.

The uniform has been designed to cater for a wide range of roles across Hallmark’s care homes, including care, nursing, gardening and maintenance, hospitality, wellbeing and reception teams, while maintaining a consistent and recognisable identity.

Insights gathered during the consultation process also highlighted the importance of team presentation from a resident perspective, with residents and families valuing team comfort, professionalism and ease of identifying team members at a glance.
