A NEW state-of-the-art care home has opened in Brownhills, with more than 200 members of the local community attending a launch event to welcome residents and celebrate the occasion.
Millfield Rose, part of the Macc Care Group, is set to provide residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for up to 90 residents, with the home’s first residents already having moved in.
The unveiling marks the group’s 17th care home across the Midlands, with the opening involving a ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by Louise Harrison, Mayor of Walsall, who praised its role within the local community.
Bhav Amlani, director of Macc Care, said: “It was fantastic to welcome our local community to Millfield Rose and to celebrate the opening of our 17th home.
“The response from our neighbours has been incredibly warm, and it was wonderful to see so many people come along to support us.
“As we continue to grow, maintaining strong community connections remains central to our values, and we look forward to welcoming residents, families and local people through our doors for many years to come.”
The new home replaces a former pub site that had fallen into disrepair, transforming it into a modern, welcoming environment designed to support high-quality care and wellbeing. Facilities include a cinema, salon, wellness spaces and communal areas.
Guests at the opening were treated to a gourmet buffet prepared by the home’s catering team, while the receptionist created a bespoke rose-themed cake – a nod to Macc Care’s naming tradition, with each home taking the name of its location followed by ‘Rose’.
The celebration also featured live entertainment, a raffle and a drinks reception.
