Aviation talk at Castle View, Windsor ‘takes to the skies’

AVIATION industry expert David Learmount delighted some 45 residents and visitors at Castle View with his talk ‘Aviation and the role of Air Traffic Control’ held recently at the Windsor retirement village.

The well-known pilot and aviation editor gave his illustrated talk in the appropriately named Sky Lounge, with Windsor Castle in the background.

Two more talks in this year’s autumn series will be held over the next two months.

Thursday, November 1 – Reporting on the fall of the Berlin Wall and the 9/11 Twin Towers disaster by former ITV and Sky News journalist and presenter Linda Duberley.

Thursday, December 1 – Windsor and Windsor Castle through the ages  by blue badge guide Debbie Keenan.

Each talk starts at 5pm and with time for questions, lasts approximately an hour and costs £5 per person including a glass of wine afterwards.

There is also the option to stay and enjoy a pre-booked dinner in the restaurant at a cost of £10 per person for lasagne or similar, dessert and a glass of wine.
