THERE was love and laughter all around at The Rowans Care Centre in Macclesfield, part of Canterbury Care, as resident Peter Harper’s daughter Jane-Alyson Harper shared her special day with residents and staff who have become like family.
Jane-Alyson married Sam Leach after the couple first met at a local pub mingle. The day was made even more meaningful as Peter proudly gave her away at St George’s Church in Poynton.
Home manager Sandra Ludlow said: “We were honoured to be part of Jane-Alyson and Sam’s celebrations. It was a wonderful day full of joy and togetherness and a true reflection of the caring community we have here at The Rowans.”
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds returned to The Rowans for a tea party celebration with Peter, residents and staff. The event was filled with fizz, dancing, singing and smiles, with everyone joining in the fun to celebrate the happy couple.
Jane-Alyson added: “It meant the world to me to share such a special moment with everyone at The Rowans.
“The residents and team are like an extended family, and having Dad there to walk me down the aisle made it truly unforgettable. The love and support from everyone was overwhelming – it was the perfect day.”
