ABERDEEN care home residents got their toes tapping and hands clapping as they celebrated Burns Night with the help of local pipers and school children.
Cowdray Club, Jesmond and Persley Castle Care Homes all hosted traditional Burns suppers of haggis, neeps and tatties, followed by a dram of whisky for those who fancied it.
The evenings were then topped off by residents reciting some of Rabbie’s most iconic works.
Residents at Cowdray Club were additionally kept company by visiting school children from Ferryhill Primary School.
Dawn Gardiner, manager of Jesmond Care Home, said: “It’s been brilliant to see our resident in high spirits and enjoying the evening together.
“Events like Burns Night are such an important part of Scottish culture and something that our residents have many happy memories of celebrating throughout their lives.
“It’s important to everyone at Renaissance Care that we continue to create these memories for those supported in our homes.”
