FROM carol-singing to card-giving, residents in Holmes Care Group care homes across Scotland had a fantastic time celebrating the lead up to Christmas.
The whole community came together in the spirit of Christmas at Bankview House in Banknock, as local Beavers, Cubs and Scouts made cards and visited the homes to give them to residents and wish all a merry Christmas.
Bankview continued the Christmas cheer by trying their hand at creating their own Christmas tree decorations, which proved to be a wild success and the home was adorned with their own baubles and décor. After this creative morning, the residents and staff took off to their annual Christmas lunch at the Castlecary Hotel, where they were joined by family members and friends for an evening of festivities.
Heatherfield Home in Armadale also partook in a card-giving scheme, in which every resident wrote and received one card each. A great time was had by all opening the cards and chatting to those who sent theirs.
Walton House in Fife enjoyed a visit from Viewforth Nursery. The residents were delighted to hear the little ones sing Christmas carols, and they all joined in for a merry sing-along.
Alexander House, also in Fife, were too treated to a visit by Crossgates Primary School, and the children were excited to receive to perfectly wrapped gifts from resident Tom. Preston House hosted a group from Warout Primary School, who proudly showed off their practised carol-singing skills much to the enjoyment of the residents.
