A RESIDENT at HC-One’s Hollymere House in Haslington, Crewe and her husband celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Edward Bertrand ‘Bert’ Edwardson and his wife Hilda Edwardson, who lives at the residential and nursing care home, were married at St Helen’s Church in Tarporley, Cheshire.
The couple met at the regular dances in Tarporley Village Hall and went on to have a son, Peter, and daughter, Dianne.
They have two granddaughters Becki and Laura, as well as four great-grandsons, Archie, Elliot, Oliver and Joshua. Bert worked as an office administrator and Hilda was a sales assistant.
The couple enjoyed opening cards and gifts, as well as indulging in cake with their family, who visit Hilda on a daily basis. Bert and Hilda’s daughter Dianne also supports the care home by making crafts and helping on stalls for fundraising events.
