A CARE home chef and maintenance man are taking part in Movember to raise funds for the Chatteris Christmas Lights fund.
Heath Brown and Jeff Davis are well known at The Gables in the centre of the town for their outgoing and infectious personalities. This year, they’ve decided to grow moustaches to raise funds for the Chatteris Christmas Lights Fund.
Every year, since 1985 the Christmas Lights Fund has raised money to enable the Chatteris community to create the best display possible for the town to enjoy.
During the festive season the lights are on daily from 3pm until midnight to encourage people to come into town, wander through the main streets to enjoy them, and then drop in to one of the restaurants, cafes, public houses or take-aways for some refreshment.
The Gables has always been heavily involved in supporting the Christmas Lights Fund. Residents get a perfect view of the bandstand outside the home from their upstairs lounge and always enjoy the switch on, which takes place this year on November 30 at 4.30pm.
