Filipino Cultural Day celebrates diversity and community

MEADOW Bank House Care Home in Bolton, part of HC-One, hosted a vibrant Filipino Cultural Day as part of its monthly series celebrating the diverse backgrounds of residents, colleagues and the wider community.

The event brought everyone together for a joyful and enriching experience, showcasing the warmth and traditions of Filipino culture.

The day was made particularly special thanks to the dedication of staff nurse Frances Tan and the ever-enthusiastic care assistant Henry Francisco, who played a key role in planning and delivering a celebration to remember.

From colourful decorations and traditional elements to clothes, music and food, the home was filled with the joyful spirit of the Philippines.

Home manager Jincy Lukose said: “Hosting Filipino Cultural Day was a fantastic way to bring everyone together and celebrate the diverse heritage of our team.

“These events are a valuable part of life at Meadow Bank House, creating moments of joy and togetherness for all.”

The Filipino Cultural Day is part of Meadow Bank House’s ongoing commitment to creating inclusive, meaningful experiences through monthly cultural celebrations that honour the backgrounds of those who live and work in the home.
