RESIDENTS of St Helens Hall Care Home in St Helens enjoyed a memorable day of adventure and fun as the minibus was fired up for two exciting day trips.
The day catered to different interests, ensuring that everyone had a fantastic experience. A group of residents made their way to the RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre, situated on the site of Gulliver’s World.
The Heritage Centre preserves the history of RAF Burtonwood and the men and women who worked there.
Another group of residents set out earlier in the day for a relaxing visit to Rivendell Garden Centre in Widnes.
There, they browsed through the independent shops, enjoyed a break at the on-site restaurant, and admired the plants and gardens.
Jacky Smith, activities coordinator at St Helens Hall Care Home said: “It was a fantastic day, enjoyed by everyone. The sun was shining too, which was a bonus.
“It’s important that our residents stay engaged with the local community and enjoy trips and visits that bring back great memories”
