Hilary steps down after 29 years

HILARY Denny has retired from her role as a senior night carer at Lee House, a residential care home for older people in Wimbledon.

The home is run by Abbeyfield Living Society, for whom Hilary has worked for 29 years.

Having started with the operator as a team leader at The Hill House in Sydenham in 1996, she moved when the home closed in 2011 to Lee House.

Hilary has been an invaluable member of the team ever since, helping the home to its ‘Good’ rating by the Care Quality Commission.

Lee House manager Melvin Pavaday said: “Hilary has been a loyal member of staff to ALS and we are immensely grateful for her 29 years of exceptional service.

“She has been a caring and valued senior member of staff throughout her remarkable career and will be missed, not only by her colleagues at Lee House, but by the residents and their family members too.

“We wish her all the best in her retirement.”
