RESIDENTS at Oak Springs Care Home in Wavertree, Liverpool are appealing to a local business or kind-hearted horse owner to help make their Christmas dreams come true.
The home is hosting a Victorian-style Christmas Fete on Saturday, November 29, and the team is on the lookout for a horse and carriage to give residents a truly unforgettable experience.
Home manager Andrea Lyon said: “We’re planning something really special for our residents this Christmas. A traditional Victorian theme felt perfect and what could be more magical than a horse and carriage ride?
“We’d love to give our residents the chance to wrap up in blankets, sip a hot chocolate (perhaps with a little tipple), and enjoy a gentle festive adventure around the local area.”
The team at Oak Springs are appealing to any local businesses, stables or horse owners who might be able to lend their support by providing a horse and carriage for the event.
“It would mean the world to our residents,” added Andrea. “This would really bring the spirit of Christmas to life here at Oak Springs.”
