THERE was a cabaret extravaganza, a saxophonist and plenty of singing and dancing when the residents and team at a Dumfries care home celebrated a milestone anniversary.
People from the local community and loved ones joined the residents and staff at Allanbank, a not-for-profit Sanctuary Care home, for its 25th anniversary celebrations.
Manager Sandra McNay said: “Our home is such a special part of the community and we were delighted to welcome so many people along to celebrate this wonderful milestone with us.
“We are proud to have been enriching lives for 25 years and look forward to the next 25.”
The day’s entertainment included a vibrant cabaret performance, with hits from Dreamgirls and Sister Act. There was also live music from Shades of Sax, food and more.
A special presentation was made to services support manager Hazel Wells and housekeeper Karen Pearson, who have been with the home since it opened.
