A WELLINGBOROUGH care home has raised money for charity and brought the community together through its open day.
Anchor’s Glenvale Park raised £400 for the Royal British Legion. The fundraising efforts were supported by care team colleagues, residents at Glenvale Park, and members of the community who joined in the fun.
The day involved a series of activities, from a tombola to a lucky dip. There were also performances from singers including ‘The Starlight Sisters’.
Home manager Carley Calder said: “We had a fantastic afternoon with a great turnout from family members and our local community. The staff did an incredible job putting it together and went above and beyond to make sure it was a success.
“We raised an impressive £400 for The Royal British Legion, so thank you to everyone that contributed. Here at Anchor’s Glenvale Park we love to give back to the community that we live in, so to see so many of our neighbours join us was wonderful.”
