BEACON House Care Home, part of Centrum Care Group, successfully hosted its annual ‘Time for A Cuppa’ event, raising £1,278 for Dementia UK.
The event was a vibrant gathering filled with community spirit and charitable enthusiasm.
Home manager Suzanne Gatrell said: “We are thrilled with the fantastic turnout and the generosity of our community. A huge thank you to everyone that donated – as a community we raised more than £600, and the total was then matched by Centrum Care Group – we are very grateful.
“The event was a great success, and I am so proud of the entire team who worked really hard to ensure everything ran smoothly. The funds raised will provide invaluable support to families affected by dementia, thanks to the specialist care facilitated by Dementia UK.”
Directors Tushar Shah and Mehul Shah judged a variety of delicious cakes, with team member Sonia claiming the top prize.
Another highlight was the ‘guess the weight of the cake’ competition, which was expertly won by Dawn Sheppard.
