A GESTURE of kindness was received by residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Kings Park care home in Hurst Cross, Ashton-under-Lyne after an assortment of biscuits was delivered during National Biscuit Day.
National Biscuit Day, which is celebrated every year on May 29, is a firm favourite for residents at the dementia care home.
Residents love nothing more than a biscuit to dunk in their tea and share a love of the different varieties that are on offer during afternoon tea at the care home.
Home manager Anna Phillips said: “Everyone at our care home was so delighted to receive such a lovely gesture of kindness from the local-based business. It is just so nice to be thought of.”
Representative Cath, from Hill Biscuits Ltd based in Ashton-under-Lyne, contacted the home to deliver a selection of biscuits for residents and colleagues to enjoy during the special day.
The assortment of treats included digestives, bourbons, nice biscuits and finger biscuits.
They were subsequently laid out for everyone to help themselves to throughout the afternoon. Residents enjoyed the sweet treats with tea and coffee.
