RESIDENTS at Five Oaks in Barnet have received some four-legged visitors as part of an animal therapy session.
Popping into the AgeCare UK operated residential care home from charity Pets As Therapy were a Labrador, Labradoodle and Cocker Spaniel to interact with its residents.
In a visit designed to support the health and wellbeing of those living at the Barnet care home, the three ‘paw-some’ guests were given a warm welcome and enjoyed plenty of strokes from everyone.
Joanne Jarvis, Registered Manager at Five Oaks, said: “Interaction with different animals is great for our residents’ mental health and wellbeing. It was wonderful to welcome the Pets As Therapy dogs into the home today and thanks go to Sandra for bringing them along.”
Director of care Jo Mason added: “We foster a family approach, focusing on enabling residents to live well.
“It’s wonderful to hear how much residents have enjoyed their animal therapy session. A huge thank you to the care home team for arranging.”
