Home takes fundraising to new heights with charity events

SOON to open Potter House, part of Oyster Care Homes, is going above and beyond in its commitment to supporting charitable causes, launching an exciting series of fundraising events to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

From washing cars to jumping out of planes, the team is dedicated to making a difference for those affected by dementia.

The first major fundraising event will be the Potter House Charity Car Wash, taking place on Thursday, April 17.

All funds raised will go directly to the Alzheimer’s Society, helping to support those living with dementia and their families.

But the team isn’t stopping there. Ten team members will be taking to the skies on September 3, jumping from 10,000 feet in a charity skydive. The skydive aims to raise further funds and awareness for the charity, with participants working together to reach their fundraising target of £390 per person.

The team has already started rallying support through donation drives, and the skydive itself will be recorded and screened in the care home’s cinema room, allowing residents to experience the adrenaline-filled event from the comfort of their home.

The home has also placed posters around the community to encourage further donations. The team is working hard to raise as much money as possible and hopes that families, friends, and the wider community will get involved in supporting the cause.
