A NEW care home in Leighton Buzzard is set to host a weekend of events for local professionals and the community ahead of its opening on July 1.
Leighton Rose is Macc Care’s first state-of-the-art luxury care home in Bedfordshire, designed to provide a safe, warm and welcoming community for up to 71 residents.
The first in a weekend of celebrations will take place with a ‘Professional Day’ tomorrow (Friday) from 11am to 3pm, where the newly appointed Mayor of Leighton Buzzard will officially open the home with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Members of the community can also pop down to see the home and meet the team on Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 3pm.
Home manager Clare Hedge said: “We want the residents at Leighton Rose to celebrate life every day and live the absolute best life they can.
“The home has been designed with this in mind, from comfortable communal areas for residents and their loved ones to enjoy, to the gardens, cinema room and even the individual private rooms.
“I’ve been a registered manager for care homes for 22 years. I love what I do and being able to make a difference in people’s lives, and I know this is something shared by my whole team here.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the community and our fellow professionals for the opening celebrations, but even more to having our first residents move in and begin making many happy memories here.”
