HOMES from across the country operated by Ideal Carehomes are joining in with the group-wide ‘Jolly January’ initiative by sharing the things that make them smile in an effort to banish the ‘January blues’.
Residents from Fairway View care home in Bulwell, Nottingham, have been posting things they enjoy and ‘Jolly January’ quotes on their Facebook page.
And residents from Thorn Springs in Houghton Regis in Bedfordshire have been writing down their wishes for 2023.
At Littleton Lodge in Cannock, staff have been entertaining everyone with their favourite jokes.
Stacey Linn, managing director at Ideal Carehomes, said: “The weather might be cold, dark and gloomy, but our care homes are certainly not letting the ‘January Blues’ get them down.
“So far we’ve seen our staff and residents dancing, telling jokes, sharing their words of wisdom and showing us their favourite things. We hope ‘Jolly January’ will help everyone get through the month with a smile on their faces.”
