RESIDENTS at Southwell Court in Melbourn have been getting creative, building a large display of a Tree of Thanks.
With the autumn season well upon us, as part of their activity schedule, residents from the home worked with the care team to gather leaves from the gardens at the home.
These were added to the collage and other paper leaf shapes were made and painted which were then added to the overall trunk and branches of the tree.
Personal messages of thanks were added to the painted leaves creating a stunning display of autumnal colours and personal messages from the residents.
The messages of gratitude included thanks for family, friendship, love, happiness, the colours of life, the changing seasons and even a cheeky one thanking staff for the tea trolley and biscuits provided at the home.
The finished tree is a stunning artistic display and is prominently on show in the home demonstrating a lovely reminder for staff and residents of the togetherness and family feel at the home.
