Home’s youngest activities team member of staff spreads happiness

RESIDENTS at Cameron House are enjoying regular visits from the care home’s youngest ‘team member’ – one-yea- old Edie.

Baby Edie, who has been visiting the Larchwood Care owned care home since she was three weeks old, had her first birthday celebrated by a party hosted by the residents.

A ‘member’ of the home’s activities team, Edie has her own staff name badge and helps bring smiles to the faces of the residents.

Heidi Bowry, manager at Cameron House, said: “Edie has become such a valued part of life at Cameron House and enjoys her visits.

“It is hard to express how much enjoyment she brings to our residents who enjoy her sense of fun and watching her grow up.”

Edie visits the care home with her nan Dawn Morrell, who is also the activities coordinator at Cameron House.

Her visits are part of the home’s activities programme, which also includes pet therapy which comes in the form of Coco a French Bulldog, who regularly visits the home helping reduce stress, ease anxiety and spark good memories.
