Mayor celebrates operator turning 10 and achieving a second outstanding rating

BLUEBIRD Care Winchester, Eastleigh and Romsey was joined by Mayor of Winchester, Councillor Vivian Achwal, as they toasted a special double celebration – their 10th birthday and being awarded, for a second time, an outstanding rating by the Care Quality Commission.

The homecare provider was first awarded the prestigious rating in 2018, making them the first in the country to achieve the five-star seal of approval.

Managing director Norman Murphy said: “We set out to achieve the holy grail of a five-star outstanding CQC rating, so to obtain this for a second time is an incredible accomplishment and testament to both our staff and our commitment to provide only the highest quality care.

“The timing really couldn’t be sweeter by coinciding with our 10th birthday.”

Bluebird Care Winchester, Eastleigh and Romsey is one of three operators in the country to have been awarded two consecutive top ratings by the CQC and are the only company in Hampshire to achieve this double accolade.
