MAYOR of Waltham Abbey Shane Yerrell visited Bullsmoor Lodge care home in Enfield to promote mental health awareness.
The visit was a highlight of “Wear It Green for Mental Health,” a week-long series of activities organised by the staff to emphasise the significance of mental well-being for both residents and staff.
During his visit Shane enjoyed breakfast with the residents and staff, engaging in meaningful conversations about the various support networks available for mental health.
He stressed the importance of not only looking after one’s own mental health but also being vigilant about the well-being of others.
“Reaching out and talking to someone can make a world of difference,” he said. “No one should suffer in silence.”
The week concluded with soothing Namaste sessions for the staff, featuring relaxing head, hand and arm massages.
