RENAISSANCE Care has been selected as a finalist for a LaingBuisson Award in the Excellence in Large Residential Care category at this year’s ceremony.
Winners will be announced on November 16 at a ceremony and dinner at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.
Operating 17 care homes across Scotland, Renaissance Care offers person-centred care for residents and their families.
Yvonne Richardson, operations director at Renaissance Care, said: “This nomination reflects our commitment to quality care at Renaissance Care.
“The high standard of care you receive as a resident or family member is a given in our homes, but we also aim to ensure residents can live the lifestyle they want, while our dedicated staff support their wellbeing and encourage them to take positive risks in a safe environment.
“The wellbeing of our residents is at the forefront of every decision we make, and we strive for excellence in every aspect of our care, so it is an honour to be nominated for this award, and we wish all other finalists the very best of luck.”
Renaissance Care has recently helped several residents from Jesmond Home in Aberdeen to fulfil bucket list dreams, including Chris Gibson, 88, who was helped back into the boxing ring to rekindle his love of the sport after staff arranged a sparring session with Scottish professional boxer, Lee McAllister.
Former biker Edwin Murray, 72, was also assisted by Jesmond to get back on the open road with help from the local community, who lined the streets from Bridge of Don to Aberdeen Esplanade to cheer him along on his first ride in over 50 years.
