REPRESENTATIVES from Housing 21 attended a careers event at Lincoln Castle Academy to inspire potential care employees of the future.
There is a national shortage of people in social care roles with perceptions surrounding limited opportunities to develop a successful career within the industry.
Housing 21 attended the school to address these misconceptions by promoting its industry-first career pathways, such as the Extra Care Academy and Housing Academy. These development programmes help to progress current employees into management positions within the organisation with the potential to earn £50,000 + salaries.

The careers event consisted of a ‘speed-dating’ session which involved employers giving their time to meet students and provide a range of opportunities available within social care and supported living organisations.
