OPERATOR Parklands Care Homes is to launch a series of Pride events for residents and staff.
Parklands Pride will take place in June and July, with five shows featuring drag performers Venus Guytrap and Miss Lossie Mouth.
The 80-minute shows will feature songs from icons such as Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli and Tina Turner.
Homes in Tain, Fortrose, Muir of Ord, Grantown and Aberlour will take part in the event which is aimed at celebrating diversity and inclusivity under the banner ‘Proud to Care.’
Operations director Elaine Taylor said: “Parklands Care Homes aims to create an environment where everyone feels cherished, respected, and supported and is empowered to live their life to the full. Parklands Pride will celebrate diversity in a fun and inclusive way.”
The first events kick off this weekend in Grantown and Aberlour.
As well as hosting its own Pride events, Parklands is to sponsor this year’s Highland Pride and Pride in Moray.
