ABBEYFIELD Wey Valley Society has launched its annual food donation collections aimed at supporting its local communities in the run up to the festive period.
Donation boxes will be located at the Maitland House care home in Reading over the coming weeks and the Society again expects to be busy dropping off lots of donations to ReadiFood.
Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society CEO Sally Tidy said: “We are proud of our links to the communities around our homes. The support we get throughout the year, whether it is individuals volunteering for our charity, or local organisations supporting our various projects, is absolutely amazing.
“It is lovely for us to be able to help local people within the Reading area in need at this time of year. Our residents, staff and their families and friends are always so generous to donate whatever they can.”
