Residents add colour to their garden with rock painting activity

RESIDENTS at HC-One’s Bowbridge Court in Newark enjoyed a creative and conversation-filled afternoon as they came together for a rock painting activity designed to brighten up the care home’s garden.

The session saw residents painting decorative stones in a variety of colours and designs, adding a cheerful splash of colour to the outdoor space. Alongside the crafting, the activity sparked lively conversations, with residents sharing memories of times gone by and discussing the different celebrations that take place around the world.

Home manager Debbie Cook said: “It was lovely to see so many residents getting involved and enjoying each other’s company.

“Activities like this are about more than just being creative, they give residents the chance to connect, reminisce and learn from one another while having fun.”

The inclusive activity allowed everyone to take part in a way that suited them, whether by getting hands-on with the paintbrushes or simply joining the group to chat and enjoy the social atmosphere.

The event highlighted the strong sense of community at Bowbridge Court and the importance of meaningful, engaging activities for residents’ wellbeing.
