RESIDENTS at Sweyne Court Care Home in Rayleigh, Essex celebrated the important women in their lives for International Women’s Day.
Across the group, Excelcare is home to many nans, mums, daughters, aunties and wives, so as well as putting these people in the spotlight, residents and team members were also encouraged to share special messages for the women in their lives.
At Sweyne Court the team gave out templates to residents so they could write messages to the women they were celebrating.
This provided them with the opportunity to write something special to a loved one from the present, or past, encouraging people to reminisce about the female figures in their lives and recall memories they shared with them.
Team members helped residents to write down the special messages before taking out the camera to capture a picture of them proudly holding their comments about women in their lives.
