Residents enjoy spectacular swing tea dance

RESIDENTS and staff at Astune Rise care home in Eston, part of Popular Care, revelled in an unforgettable afternoon of music, dance and camaraderie at the Eston & Normanby Social Club.

The event featured a  swing tea dance, highlighted by a talented singer who delighted the audience with hits from legendary artists such as The Beatles and Neil Diamond.

Home manager Caroline Bowstead said: “It was heart-warming to see our residents and staff come together for such a joyous event. The smiles, laughter, and dance moves were truly a testament to the vibrant community we have at Astune Rise. 

“We are committed to providing a range of engaging activities that not only entertain but also promote the well-being of our residents.”

The atmosphere was electric as everyone, including those using wheelchairs, took to the dance floor, showcasing the inclusive spirit of the home. The event was a perfect blend of lively entertainment and social interaction, providing an excellent opportunity for residents and staff to bond over shared experiences and favourite music.

Adding to the joy of the occasion was a sumptuous afternoon tea, featuring an assortment of treats that were savoured by all.
