RESIDENTS at a care home in Bridge of Don have been enjoying a busy calendar of festive activities including the children from Forehill Primary School performing festive carols, dance performances from Tutus Dance School and a visit to Bridges Nursery for a special rendition of Jingle Bells.
Dawn Gardiner, general manager at Jesmond Care Home, said: “We have two dedicated activities coordinators that help us to run purposeful activities and outings for our residents all year round, and at Christmas their flair for festive activities really shines.
“This year we have been enjoying performances from local dance schools and we have also had the local primary school come along to perform a selection of Christmas carols that I know the residents were absolutely thrilled about.
“And, to round off our festive celebrations, some of our residents are heading out on a day trip to the local nursery where they will get to enjoy a concert of singing and various different performances.”
