Residents relish emergency services visit to Barnet care home

FIREFIGHTERS from Southgate fire station and officers from Cockfosters community police enjoyed tea and cakes with residents and staff at Five Oaks in Barnet.

The morning included much chatter, laughter and even some dancing, as well as crucial safety checks to safeguard residents’ welfare.

“Our residents thoroughly enjoyed touring the fire engine and chatting with firefighters and police offers,” said Rahima Mulindwa, care home manager at Five Oaks.

“It was a lovely morning and our residents cherished every moment. When the weather is warmer, we’re also planning a police, residents and staff walk. We can’t wait to welcome our local heroes back again.”
