RESIDENTS and their loved ones at Hargrave House brought the sunshine to Essex during their Hawaiian themed mocktail morning.
The event, aimed at fostering fun and connection, saw the residents don Hawaiian Lei necklaces and have a go at the art of mixing exotic fruit drinks.
Home manager Shelley Sidhu said: “It was a really good morning for our residents. It’s always fun when relatives can get involved in activities with their loved ones.
“It was very lively as we enjoyed listening to the traditional Hawaiian music whilst sipping on our creations.”
Residents and their families enthusiastically embraced the tropical theme, learning to craft a variety of different flavours under the guidance of the care home’s staff. From refreshing mango concoctions to tangy pineapple blends, the creativity flowed as freely as the drinks.
The traditional Hawaiian music created the perfect backdrop to the festivities, transporting residents to far flung islands.
