Step into apetito’s VIP lounge at Care Show Birmingham

WITH the countdown to Care Show Birmingham on October 8 and 9 in full swing, delegates can look forward to hearing from one of the UK’s most recognisable healthcare commentators, Dr Phil Hammond, when he joins apetito and Care England on stage to host an insightful keynote session exploring how fixed-price catering models can bring financial clarity and operational confidence to care homes.

The session “‘Dishing Up’ Stability for Care Home Catering Costs,” takes place in the Keynote Theatre on day one of the show between 2.15pm and 2.45pm.

Phil, a journalist, broadcaster, author, comedian and retired NHS doctor, will be joined by Clare Hunt, head of business development at apetito, and Richard Ayres, social care advisor at Care England, to discuss how bringing cost certainty to catering can help care homes prioritise nutrition, choice and dignity for residents.

Alongside this must-see panel, apetito will once again have its exclusive VIP Lounge open for bookings on stand N70, inviting care groups and managers to discuss how its full-service solution and high-quality meals can positively transform their care home catering.

And for the first time, the meal provider will have a new grab-and-go style lunch on offer exclusively for the Speaker Lounge, offering a selection of delicious, hot meals in an easy-to-eat format.

Visitors can also explore Wiltshire Farm Foods Professional (stand M51) and sample some of its specialist preprepared meals for residents living with complex dietary needs, such as dysphagia or food allergies.

With a wide range of easy-to-cook, safe and nutritious options, from texture modified to Allergen-Free, the service can work in harmony with on-site catering systems and provides peace of mind to both residents and staff.

Richard Woodward, general manager of care homes at apetito, said: “It’s important to us to develop genuine and collaborative partnerships with care providers, and we pride ourselves in having a deep understanding of the diverse nutritional requirements of residents.

“Through our extensive range of nutritious meals and leading service proposition, we support homes to deliver elevated dining experiences that provide consistency, dignity and enjoyment for all residents.

“The team and I look forward to speaking with delegates during the show to discuss how our solution can support care homes to enhance their mealtimes and drive operational efficiencies. At a time when cost control is increasingly more important, we can help homes to optimise their kitchens and have better budget stability without needing to compromise on food quality or standards of care.”
