RESIDENTS, their families and staff at a Shepton Mallet residential home held a barbecue in the garden.
Tracy Woolfrey, manager of St Cecilia, said: “We love having events to which we can invite family and friends of our residents, and this first barbecue of the year was a great hit.
“We were all so pleased to see the sunshine, having had so much rain recently, and everyone had a lovely time enjoying delicious food and each other’s company.
“Events like these remind us of the importance of coming together and supporting one another.”
The barbecue, catered for by the home’s kitchen team, was organised to follow on from one of the regular relatives’ meetings which are held throughout the year to give loved ones the chance to catch up with family members in a relaxed setting.
The event was part of a regular busy schedule of activities organised for the residents of St Cecilia, which is run by White Care Group.
