LOFTHOUSE Grange and Lodge Care Home in Wakefield held a summer fair and dog show where four-legged friends had a chance to show off their skills.
The local community was invited to bring along their talented pooches to take part in the fun canine obstacle course – residents were totally engrossed and cheered each dog through the tunnels and over obstacles.
The furry friends were rewarded with treats made by residents for each obstacle they navigated themselves over, through or under.
As well as the dog contest there was a performance from talented local majorette group FBI Academy, as well as a lively performance from local musician and performer Trevor Woodhead, who had the whole home dancing and singing along.
There was a real village fete feel to the event, with many stalls and fun activities around the home including a tombola, hook-a-duck, games and much more.
Activities coordinator Donna Worsley said: “It was a fantastic day filled with laughter and joy. We had so much fun watching the dogs enjoying themselves on the course, and Trevor’s music added to the cheerful atmosphere.
“With all the games and stalls, there was truly something for everyone. We want to extend a huge thank you to our local community and all our visitors – we loved having you with us and appreciate your support.”
