STRENGTHENING links with the community and providing a platform for local firms to connect with each other were the drivers behind a business networking breakfast held at Five Oaks Care Home in Barnet.
The event was organised by manager Rahima Mulindwa, who said: “The purpose of this event is twofold: first, to create opportunities for local businesses and professionals to connect, share ideas and explore potential partnerships and second, to highlight the incredible work being done at Five Oaks and the importance of supporting local initiatives that improve the wellbeing of our residents.”
Rahima and her colleagues were delighted to welcome a range of delegates from across the community, including officers from Cockfosters Police, dentists, GPs, firefighters, business owners and managers, members of the community mental health team, district nurses, the lead nurse from North London Hospice, physiotherapists and chiropodists.
“By bringing together such a broad cross-section of professionals, we aim to facilitate conversations that not only enhance business opportunities but also strengthen the support network for our community’s health and wellbeing,” added Rahima.
“Five Oaks is not just a care facility—it is a vital part of our community, providing compassionate care and a welcoming environment for its residents. By hosting this event, we hope to foster meaningful business relationships as well as raising awareness of the care sector’s role in shaping a compassionate, connected community.”
