OPEN days are taking place in April at two Royal Star & Garter Homes, which have both been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.
The charity’s Solihull and High Wycombe care homes will each showcase the exceptional nursing and dementia care alongside their day care and lunch clubs that they provide for veterans and partners, during two open days. Those wishing to attend are asked to register in advance.
The Solihull Home’s open days take place on Thursday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 8 from 11am to 1pm. In High Wycombe, they will be held on Tuesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 10 between 2pm and 4pm.
Those attending the open days will be given a snapshot of everyday life at the Homes, and the chance to speak to the managers and other senior staff.
They will also be offered a tour, which will include the in-house physiotherapy rooms and hair salons, gardens, activities rooms and lounges. Visitors will also have the chance to join in with the planned activities, and chat to the residents.
The open days are for veterans – including reservists and those who completed National Service – and their partners, as well as two accompanying relatives or friends. Those wishing to attend are asked to register interest online through Eventbrite, with places limited to three per booking.
