Residents enjoy end of summer outing to Hawk Conservancy Trust

RESIDENTS of Old Raven House care home in Basingstoke enjoyed a late summer outing, visiting the Hawk Conservancy Trust in Andover.

The trip provided a day of excitement and tranquillity as the residents enjoyed a picnic lunch followed by a leisurely stroll around the aviaries, admiring the variety of birds on display.

Home manager Anne Turner said: “The residents had a wonderful time at the Hawk Conservancy Trust. It was a day filled with awe and excitement, especially watching the birds in flight.

“It’s always a pleasure to see our residents enjoying new experiences, and this outing was the perfect way to close our summer activities.”

The day’s highlight came at the seated display area, where they were treated to a breathtaking aerial display by the impressive birds of prey.

Despite the windy conditions and skies that alternated between clear blue and grey, the birds soared with grace and performed astonishing aerial acrobatics, often flying within feet of the captivated onlookers.
